The best place we have found for photographing people from high school seniors to large family groups is right in our own yard! Of course, we may be a little partial to this wonderful place since we bought it from a bride’s parents after we did her engagement session in her awesome yard!
Just look at this view from our front yard during a senior photo session with Christie in 2010!
Later when the light was just right — that perfect light right before sunset that Russell likes to call the “sweet light” — we took her across the street for this photo:
However, for an additional fee, you can have us take your photo at the location of your choosing (please call for pricing as the fee may vary according to the distance from our studio). For example, if flowers are your thing, try the beautiful gardens of Elizabeth Park in Hartford’s West End.
Or you might consider Hubbard Park in Meriden for some breathtaking views overlooking the Observation Tower.
The view down below in the park isn’t bad either!
Plainville’s Paderewski Park is only about a mile from our studio and has a large pond surrounded by trees and a large field where the residents play ball, picnic, take walks or just relax.
Also in Plainville are the coolest railroad tracks!
And if you come at the right time, there are some pretty neat graffiti cars on the tracks.
If you live near an area with tall grass — especially golden in color — the photos can be stunning.
Or choose a place that’s important to you like this dance studio was for Jamie.
Wherever you want to be photographed, just give us a call at (860) 793-1159.
Also check out our Living Social Deal this week. This special offer is for On Location and cannot be combined with other discounts. However, if you purchase it and want to use the deal at our studio location in Plainville, all Facebook fans will receive a $25 credit to use toward their purchases making the session at our location only $50. Since it already includes a $50 print credit, that makes your indoor/outdoor studio session FREE.
